Clinical Social Work

Clinical social work counselling and treatment focused on supporting individuals experiencing psychological and emotional impacts of injury. Services include trauma-informed counselling, emotional regulation, coping strategies, and adjustment support commonly required in auto insurance (Ontario, Alberta) and ICBC (British Columbia).

Social Work Counseling

Areas of treatment include:

  • Trauma-informed counselling to address stress responses, emotional overwhelm, and post-injury trauma

  • Support with chronic pain, including the emotional and psychological impact of living with ongoing pain

  • Adjustment counselling to help clients cope with life changes following injury, illness, or disability

  • Counselling for anxiety, depression, mood changes, and emotional regulation difficulties

  • Psychosocial support for individuals experiencing cognitive, emotional, and identity changes related to brain injury

  • Strength-based counselling focused on coping skills, resilience, and return to daily functioning

Services are offered in multiple languages to support culturally responsive and accessible care.

Brain Injury-Informed Practice

Treatment is informed by advanced training in trauma-focused and neuro-informed modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), chronic pain and nervous system regulation, and brain injury-informed assessment and treatment.

The clinician holds certification through a recognized brain injury program and integrates evidence-based approaches to support both psychological recovery and functional improvement following injury.
